First the tin nichos were custom-designed for this specific purpose. Each nicho was carefully gold leafed and embellished. Then original encaustic paintings were made for the back panels as well as some of the front panels.

Stepping out into a new arena...Dawn then hand-crafted the various icons from different belief systems that are a part of each unique nicho.

Dawn's art reflects that human culture has always sought a connection with a higher power for blessings and healings. This has never been truer than in today's world. "When Every Breath Is Prayer" reminds us that divinity is found within each person. Dawn believes that "in every action we take, we have the chance to make every breath a prayer."
